AES Pin Assignment
« on: January 12, 2005, 10:18:09 PM »
Making an AES cable, do I have the pin assignments right?

1. ground
2. +
3. -

Is it the same for the male and the female?  Or is pin 2 and 3 reversed for female?

you are correct. same assignments for both male and female, although pins 1 and 2's positions will be reversed.

1.                  2.                                             1.                        2.
            3.                                                                  3.

1. Ground                                                         1. Ground
2. Red (+)                                                        2. Red (+)
3. White (-)                                                      3. White (-)

female would be:

2           1

       3

so she can mate with the male.
