DIY Component Video

Has anyone built their own component video cables? What's a good cable to use? Thinking of making my own as some are quite pricey, and not easy to find the length I require.

Aren't they just 75ohm interconnects?  The cardas spdif cables I have are made for spdif or video.  Seems like any good wire you would use for coax spdif would work - get some 75ohm canare or belden and decent connectors.

That's what I figured, but I wasn't 100% sure. I vaugly remember an article that stated Component Video cables use higher bandwidth than standard video, and you should be careful in choosing cables and connectors. I tried to find the article, but no luck. It was a while ago.
I guess I will get some stuff from Markertek and try it out...

I just built some myself, nice money saver.  I just used 75ohm Belden cable and good quality RCA connects. Put some thin bands of tape around the ends for distinction.
