SD Card recovery options
« on: January 02, 2007, 10:26:40 AM »
hey everyone. i just got a new digital camera for a christmas. it's a cannon SD630. anyway, i brought it with this NYE and took some great pictures with it. i wake up the next morning to find that there is only ONE picture stored on the SD card i was using. the picture is the last one i took of the evening. i fear that all the pictures i took have been deleted. i had the camera in my pocket but find it hard to believe the pictures could have been deleted while i was walking around. so, is there any options i have to try and recover these pictures off the sd card?

i figure i'll answer my own question  ;D

i recovered the pictures using an SD card reader and using this software: http://www.cardrecovery.com/
it worked like a charm. basically i needed the SD card reader to access the card from an assigned drive. i couldn't get to the SD card using the software without the reader. if anyone needs help with this type of problem shoot me an email. it's real easy.
