TSKB: Photo tagging
« on: February 26, 2007, 01:31:02 PM »
Hopefully someone here has a good suggestion as my searches have left me more frustrated that anything.

I am redesigning my home server currently (Windows).   I keep my videos, movies, music (mp3 and flac) as well as all of my pictures on it.  As I have been organizing my server's music I find it easy to get it all organized by sorting via the metatags in the mp3's and FLAC's.  I know that jpgs, tifs, etc. have similar tag areas available.  For my music I use Tag & Rename.

Does anyone know of a program that allows bulk tags to be set for pictures?   I cannot tag each individual picture as I have over 50 gigs of pictures so I reall need something that will do it in bulk.

Thanks for any help!

Jake: What's this?
Elwood: What?
Jake: This car. This stupid car. Where's the Cadillac? The Caddy? Where's the Caddy?
Elwood: The what?
Jake: The Cadillac we used to have. The Blues Mobile!
Elwood: I traded it.
Jake: You traded the Blues Mobile for this?
Elwood: No. For a microphone.
Jake: A microphone? Okay I can see that.

i use lightroom, you can mass tag pictures when you import them into the lightroom library.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

plus lightroom will allow you to do just about everything else you need to do to pictures, also.

Ed I just need to PM you when i'm looking for other programs.   :)

I've been trying to immerse myself in Lightroom for the last two days.

Thanks both of you for the suggestions.  +T's
