V3 > Hosa ODL-276 > JB3
« on: June 09, 2006, 12:57:30 AM »
I now have  a V3 and it is not the optical mod, for now.

I'll be running V3 > coax > Hosa ODL-276 > optical > JB3.

Question: Has anyone had any experience with this setup? Or heard of issues with this?

Also, is it possible to get the optical mod and still be left with a coax out?

I used the ODL-312, but most here have used the -276.  Great solution, don't know of any problems with that combination.

Yes.  The optical mod replaces the word clock and retains the coax.

I did the same thing for a while, with good results. Go to ratshack and get and rc battery to power the 276. It'll go for a long , long time(10 hours or so)

Thanks. Yes, I've been using the Hosa for 2 years now.

I read somewhere on TS that the V3 Hosa combo had issues. Just a rumor, I guess.

V3 > coax > Hosa ODL-276 > optical > JB3

I've patched quite a few folks out of my V3 using the 276 - never a problem.
