Title: Good small mixer to sum to stereo?
Post by: achabloop5080 on April 04, 2015, 02:01:26 PM
Hi guys,
I need to record a live concert with 4-6 microphones but only have a 2 channel A/D converter (Mytek 192 ADC).
Since I use Schoeps mics and Millennia and John Hardy preamps I'm searching a good small mixer or summing box (connecting the line out from preamps to it) and mixing on the fly (only volume balance and panning) to stereo possibly without compromising the quality of the chain.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

8+ channel recorder or interface. Being able to mix in post is worth it.

Budget?  Access to 110v power?

Budget is now 1000€ and I don't need battery to work...
Quality is my main concern as I have great mics and preamps...

Maybe rent something from local pro sound rental company.

Other thought tascam Dr 680mkii would give you 6 channels.
