722 External Power
« on: July 12, 2006, 10:27:36 AM »
i searched but didn't see this discussed; is anyone out there using externals via the hirose connector to power a 7xx?  got a guy who is taking one into the rainforrest and wants to make a bunch of AA packs, but i'm thinking there's got to be a better way, ie walmart battery.  he will only be able to recharge via solar.  any ideas?

thanks

Soldered, but pins are quite small so care must be taken.  SD has pin wiring in all the owners manuals for these decks.
I make a serious-use 14+ amp (12) alkaline D cell power sled for running these decks in extreme remote locations where charging batteries is not an option. Should have the carrying cases for the power pack (someday soon I hope) when my fabricator gets time to making them, otherwise, available without the carrying case.
"mics? I no got no mics!  Besides, I no have to show you no stink'n mics!" stxxlth taper's disclaimer
