V3 question : can they run on 9v Li-ion's??
« on: July 09, 2007, 06:45:48 PM »
just picked up JDS's . (thank you Jesse!)

Curious.. The Mini-me ran on anything 6>14v.
Now I just checked the Grace website, read the manual, and found no mention of the V3's ability to do this.
Also now too late to call...

Are they strictly 6v and 12v versions?? or could i splice a cable to run on the walmart 9v Li-ion safely?

Thanks!!

-Mike

edit:  JDS's is a 6v model

My V3 is set to 6volts and I run one of the 9v Wally Lion's straight into it.  The battery meter on the V3 will not be accurate but otherwise not one single problem running those batteries.

Do just like he says and all will be good.

Just use the meter on the battery to know your level.

I have heard Grace will set the V3 so the low battery works right with the 9volt battery.
