I just picked up one of these and haven't used it in the field yet. Anyone used for recordings while simultaneously using it to provide phantom power to external mics? If so, what kind of battery life can I expect? Thanks so much! -a

If open taping you can use an external battery. I don't remember the tip size. There is a video on youtube where the guy has a link to the cable.

It runs off of 2 NiMH AA's. I'm assuming that won't last long enough to get through an entire ~3hr concert?

Looks like you could use an inexpensive USB battery with the right cable
