Line attenuators
« on: December 31, 2003, 08:55:50 PM »
My amp overpowers my preamp in my home playback system.  It's a Marantz ac500 > Audio Research d-120.  The problem is that when I turn up the volume knob on my pre, it makes a huge difference in volume coming out of the speakers.  I did a quick search on Radio Shack for some cheap alternative for the time being, but didn't find anything.

Anyone know where I can pick up some semi-decent line attenuators to throw in between the pre and the amp?  Obviously I'm not looking for a set of cables that will cost me over a hundred bucks.  But I don't really want radio shack quality cables junking up my home system.

Thanks,
