Lens Control Error
« on: October 06, 2010, 09:32:20 AM »
Bought a Fujifilm Finepix s2000hd for my office a coouple (?) years ago.
One of the engineers here that uses it for job sites must have broke it
somehow.  Upon turning it on I get a "Lens Control Error" message on
the display.  He, the engineer, says "yeah it doesn't work" so instead
of mentioning this a year ago he just waited for the next person to find
out that it doesn't work (yesterday).

Anyone have any experience with this "Lens Control Error"?  I suspect
it's out of warranty at this point but I'm going to try and verify that.

Seems that I can take a single picture with the camera before
getting this error.  The lens zooms in/out until I take a shot
then I get the error.  Turning the camera off/on again makes
it work for a single shot.
