4 Channel Mix Guide for WaveLab 6?
« on: May 04, 2015, 06:49:51 PM »
Is there a simple to follow guide somewhere which describes how to make a 4 channel mix in WaveLab 6?  I know it has something to do with Audio Montage, but that is a feature I've never used. I know some people use Audacity for this, but I'd like to know how to do it in WaveLab.

Thanks

It's pretty easy when you're using a single deck (like your DR-70D).

1. Open an Audio Montage.
2. Select the correct bit rate.
3. On the left hand side you'll see a "1" in a drop down. Click that and choose "Add stereo track"
4. Right click where the wave normally appears and click "Insert Audio File" ...do this for both tracks.
5. Line up the wave files. Zoom in as much as needed.

You also can add Fx to each stereo track. I'll usually do this for each track as I'll likely do something different to a SBD source than a AUD source. To do that click the "no fx" drop down and select "Add effect slot." You can do that for as many effects as you want to add to each track.

Once you're happy with your results you just click Render on the dithering box.
