Title: A good buy...?
Post by: Wiggle on August 21, 2006, 09:19:31 PM
At, say $30-40?

I've got a UA-5 headed to Busman soon and I still need to get a battery for it. I know there are countless links on here for different batteries but this one's rated at 8000 mAh which seems higher than most. Is the extra juice worth paying for or is it overkill? I'm not a festival taper but I am slack as a mofo on my best day which means I'm prone to leaving things plugged in, turned on etc...

Also, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular brand.

never have seen that brand
but if you got it for 40 or less it would be a nice deal
plus its 8000 vs 5400

if you check the ebay section here you will see some people who will sell you a new 5400 9v flat out for 30-40 range (worse comes to worse)

My lenmar 5400s were around $50 but came with tips for any purpose and leds to show you the current battery charge left.

If you get one of these and it really seems like 8000 and has the LEDs and works with your stuff let us know, I would probably pick up a couple.

Stay Kind,
Dana

Well, I got one of these and it's exactly as pictured right down to the LEDs. I won't know if it works for a few more days as my UA5 is in the hands of the mighty Busman right now.  :yahoo:

Not to mention I have to figure out the whole reverse polarity thing and then trust myself enough to do it.
