best used with acoustic music? I might give it a shot tonight just for fun with a bluegrass band. fig8's crossed at 90* correct?

blumlein will nail the shit out of any type of music.
as long as it sounds really sweet where the mics are, that is.

I've actualy done some pretty good blumlein stuff from far away tapers sections.  It always kicks ass when you are close to the sound source.

is it essential for blumlein to be centered between the stacks?

i have heard before that it suffers from a lack of bass response, is this truly the case?
