Wyred4Sound ST500MKII
« on: October 11, 2016, 10:55:34 AM »
Just added a wyred4sound ST500MKII to replace my Conrad Johnson MF80 amp. This unit is used to power the lowers on my VR-4JRs, which are bi-amped with a primaluna prologue 5. The increase in wattage has made a huge difference. Talk about pressurizing a room!

the Conrad Johnson was a SS amp.  So now I am feeing upper cabinets with a tube amp and lower cabinets with a SS amp.  Difference I hear is primarily power.  Going from 80 to 250 watts has made a huge difference in terms of a really well defined lowend that is punchy.
