AES XLR -> toslink ? in need for challenges...
« on: March 14, 2005, 02:47:53 PM »
Hallo
i have a delicious apogee MiniMe coming out on AES XLR and S/PDIF.
As a recorder i'm planning to use iRiver iHP-120, hoping that the forthcoming RocKBox will completely remove the spin bug.
iHP-120 has optical ins.
I have a coax2optical converter from PartExpress, that need to be powered.
Do you think it is possible to "embed" into a unique big XLR:
-an AES-spdif converter
-a coax-optical converter
-the battery

Life is too simple... :)

I recommend picking up a Hosa ODL-312 digital format converter (AES/EBU <--> S/PDIF optical).
