quick SBD>v3 question!

so does the -20db pad need engaged for this to normally work right ???

or can i roll straight to the show and just run like i would w/ mics ???

would i be better off running rca>jb3 line in ???

what would yinz do ???

I'd guess the pad would help, as SBD level signals are usually hotter than mic levels. The V3 gain is clean, so why not play it safe?

ahh, almost forgotthe phanton thing, thankfully, i ALWAYS dis-engage it after each show:)

its just a pain to get my v3 out of its cage, tomake a quick adjustmentlikethat, but whatever, i'lldo it :)

i just hate to engage the -20db pad and then get there and want to run my mics :(

what i did was print out the schematic of the v3 internals. cut out the section to contain the -20 pad and highlight the jumpers that need switched. laminated it and taped it to the bottom of my v3

i always pack a small screwdriver. you never know whats gonna happen and you may need the -20 pad

depends on the type of showber...could be uh oh spaghettio's...but you can always get there early and see what the scene is before ingesting.

i ALWAYAS carry a screwdriver to fit the v3 just right and i already printed out what i needed to do if ineed to do it at the show, just slide jumpers j3/j4 + j14/j15 INWARD  toward each other, simple as pie :)
