(CLOSED) custom 5pin xlr FEMALE + 2x NTE4 audio transformer
« on: September 28, 2011, 07:43:00 AM »
I've got a power supply (Neumann bs 48 i 2) and I need a special cable or something else with a transsformer between the power supply and recorder that provided sufficient gain.
Actually, I have a very low signal in my recorder.

It's for stealth recording situation

Jon from NAIANT suggested to me to use 2x Neutrik NTE4 .They are not expensive and will work fine.

NTE4 is very simple to wire:
 yellow and white are input
 black and red are output.
http://www.neutrik.com/fl/en/audio/210_252001/NTE4_detail.aspx

 For unbalanced output:
 wire white to +in
 yellow to -in
 red to out
 black to ground.

I need one NTE4 for each channel.

below you'll find the shematic of the XLR5 pin out

Thanks in advance
Chris
