Soundcard help?
«

I searched the forums and archives and didn't really find what I was looking for, so I hope this isn't a dupe..
I'm looking for a high-quality 2-channel soundcard with bit-perfect (i.e. not resampled) digital input. Analog quality is not important as I will use something like an Edirol R-9 for that when the day comes that I need it. Needs to be 24/192 compatible. I'm going to be putting it in a new system I'm building.
If it's available here:
http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/S...&SubCategory=57
...it would be helpful.
Thanks for any help.

Sorry for the bump, but I haven't heard from anyone yet, and again, I searched the forums.
If my question is already answered somewhere, a point in the right direction is all I need.
Thanks in advance.

Use the search function and enterĀ Chaintech AV-710
You should get a page full of hits. Read some of the threads those results come from and you'll get a few other possibilities besides the Chaintech.
<edited to add that I'm not sure if the Chaintech does 24/192 but check newegg's page on the card for specs>

Looks like the above mentioned Chaintech or one of the M-Audio Audiophile cards using the ASIO driver is the way to go (for those searching for similar information as to me). Looks like there's not a lot of user experiences on the 24/192 card, but that's the one I'm most interested in so to future-proof myself (at least somewhat)...I may need to do more research because if it doesn't play back 24/192 w/o resampling, then what's the point?
Thanks for the help!
