Curious what this is. I probably can't afford it, but still one can dream.

A mic with built-in chomper cancellation. You heard it here first!
-
My guess...wireless with built in wifi and more $$ than I have.

new 6060. new, smaller evolution replacing the 4060.
-
^ 6060 is offered in addition to 4060. It does not replace it.
406x remains available in Core and non-core versions, the heavy-duty version with a fatter cable and strain-relief, and the slim side-address version.
-
Is it a vertical capsule inside (like Sanken), a single diaphraghm or something more fancy.
-
^ If I understand you correctly- Do you mean like the 406x has a vertical capsule inside the microphone housing, even though it's an end-address microphone? I'm not as familiar with Sanken.
Since the grid is not removable we may not find out easily. Not sure how it really matters though, except to satisfy our geek interest in how these things work.

looks like $550 each for the 6061.
