Recording from induction loop system
« on: September 24, 2017, 03:51:43 AM »
next year i'm going to a concert at London's barbican, they have a system in place for the hard of hearing, an amplified listening device. Has anyone tried to record a show plugging into such a device rather than using mics?

Many would consider this unethical. Many others would say that the listening devices, since they are engineered specifically for the hearing impaired, do not represent the full frequency range that could be captured by ambient microphones and are considered "lo fi". Other people have done it. I wouldn't but do whatever you feel comfortable with. I think it's a waste of time.
