Leegeddy 'bumblebee' silver clad cable review :)
« on: February 28, 2005, 12:48:29 AM »
ok, so i know nickspicks was/is writing a review, but i thought id give my input after running them for a few weeks and about 6-7 shows

so here goes:

after running audio magic xstreams for 6 solid years, i have something decent to compare them too

first off, the bass is soo good and punchy, it has a sound of its own thru the 480's and the v3, sounds really different from the xstreams, the xstreams were a bit 'thinner' and maybe a bit more crisp in the high end, but these have GREAT highs/mids/lows IMO, the bass is tight and more present in the mix than im used to w/ the xstremas also

a great soundstage too, really wide and open doing hypers/DIN, great imaging and an overall 'smooth blanket' that i really like so far, and these prolly still only have 80 hrs on them, cant wait till they get really burnind in :)

the am xstreams are a great product, dont get me wrong, but since the raw cable of the bumblebee's looks almost identical to audio magic's hyperconductors, i bet theyre sound is similar to, and theyre a step above the xstreams :)

so fwiw, i highly recomend these cables, and they were built w/ the utmost quality products and very reliable looking solder joints :) 8)

so for anyone who wants to spend some $$ on some nice silver clad mic cables and wants them custom done, i would say marc is your man!

thanks again marc,

the bass response is the most improved thing IMO, but the imaging/soundstage isnt too shabby either ;D 8)

for people running 'regular' cables, if ya have a decent rig, you HAVE TO switch to something better, its amazing what you'll hear that you never heard before, like simple strikes of guitar strings even at loud rock shows :)

Just got a pair of these as interconnects and they are as good as everyone has said!  The easily rivial my $150/pair blue truths!   The thing I like most about these cables is that they are each hand made with an obvious attention to detail!

I sent him a PM, it will really depend on price... unfortunatley I need a lot of speaker cable as my amp is not between my speakers but rather is set off to one side... I need at least 10'.

good speaker cable at that length is expensive...

be on the lookout for the Bumblebee power cords with heavy guage silver clad cables, I will be the first one trying it out at home, look very forward to it, will post pics as the cord becomes available, I believe marc has a few more issues to work out

I have these on my list to buy, of course I am taking handouts as well :P
Anywho.
Has anyone ran Zoalla's and now use these? Can you give any kind of comparison
if so? I imagine these are better sounding, yet still like to hear others views.
Might have something to look for during my A/B when it happens.
