Sony PCM10/Honda Accord/USB port?
« on: February 12, 2012, 05:54:27 PM »
Question for anyone who may know...
I just bought a Honda Accord this week and I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can use the USB port to play my Sony PCM M10, or if the auxiliary port is the only option. I could get it to play using the auxiliary port, but the Honda doesn't find any files when I use the USB connector.
I've gone through both the Honda and Sony manuals and done Google searches, but I'm still unsure. Since I'm fairly remedial with connections and whatnot, I thought I'd ask someone who may know.
Am I missing something?

Most Honda radios now feature USB in with iPod support, and analog in.
Using USB, you get knob-control of :
1) an iPod
or
2) any folder which it can browse on a USB drive or MP3 player

Probably 16 bit only, and probably can only manage 8 or 16 gb of drive, even if on an MP3 player

Analog, it just amplifies whatever comes in and the player does the A/D and file management

I hope that helps, YMMV...
