Based on high quality transformers, quad matched transistors and low noise OP-amps the SMF-5 is considered to be one of or actually the most low noise mic amps available.
SMF-5 has two identical channels. Each having a balanced XLR input with 48 V phantom power available. Gain is individually adjustable within 30 ... 70 dB. Outputs are balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) line level signals. SMF-5 may be driven from the A.C. mains adaptor, included, or 2 X 9 V alkaline batteries.
