Title: bright mics - warm pre?
Post by: caymanreview on August 26, 2003, 08:27:44 AM
wondering how some bright mics (mbho 603/ka200n) would be with a warm mod ua5?

would they compliment each other, bringing the best of both worlds?

not really. It doesn't really "warm" things up like an apogee would but it does to a certain extent. I really like the sound.

One of my personal favorites with t he MBHO's is a V2 into a modsbm-1, that makes some tight, but also warm tapes.

FWIW, I really loved this combo, too.
