Title: effects of extending a cable
Post by: atxwolfattack on June 05, 2007, 01:48:32 AM
hey guys. I have a quick question. Say i need to extend my cable between my mics to my preamp, and i use an adapter with an extra cable, or just another cable with a female jack on that side to make the connection longer, will my mic single be affected?

I am not talking about a super long distance, but maybe just like adding an extra 4 or 5 feet to a 6 ft. long mic cable.

this is a good question, only im wondering what happens if i have 15' of cable to 2 channels, and 50' of cable going to the other 2.  would the time be off for a matrix?  at what point does cable length = delay?

sorry to hijack the thread....
