Available Pre to borrow in mid-august?
« on: June 26, 2003, 10:56:29 PM »
hi all
I'm in the market for some new mics and a pre.  I am particularly looking at the mp-2 and I wanna see how it does with the genre of music I record.  I will have a heavy week of recording around August 9th-16th and if anyone has one available for borrow/rental I would love to make arrangements.  I don't know all of you well and I'd have a trust issue too with my high end equipment (if I had some) as well, but I have people here to vouch for me.  Maybe I'm way off and asking such a bold question, but it's worth a try.  I just don't wanna dive balls first into such a big investment
thanx for the help

My initial thought is that since you are attending mostly stealth shows, which IMHO tend to be on the bassy side, the mp-2 may exaggerate this effect.  There is only one way to find out though...

You should find a sax to borrow, then you would be hitting with the big dogs!

well, I'm open to the sax too.  Really just something that has xlr ins and outs that supplies 48V p/p and is stealthable.

I know, isn't it sad that I'll end up using the a/d on my MD  :o
