Help with lead batteries
« on: July 01, 2003, 09:47:50 PM »
This past weekend I taped panic at red rocks and everything was fine until I heard a crackling in my headphones and the sound started going in & out :-[ Iused a battery I made with 4 D's that produced 6 volts.  Anyway I was wondering if anyone would be willing to make me a lead acid battery pack (6v 7.2a sla).  I have the directions but know I cant make it and eco-charge is really expensive.  Or if you have any battery suggestions for me I would be greatful.
thanks
kevin

if you dont have a charger yet for a 6v 7ah batt, they are like 40-45$ from xenotronix.

do you have any recording samples with your skm144>V3>D8 combo you could send me?

is it just the charger? I need a whole battery like the eco-charge (to charge my pre)

what do you need the sla for? D8? if so, then you also need a D8 power cable to go from your deck to the battery (6v>4pin xlr) they are about 30$ on the eco site, but you can always hack your walwart. the charger is about 40-45$ and then you need the battery to complete the system. and i believe lee said above he might have an extra. so there you go. if you want to make it easy, try to find a used eco system for sale in the yard sale.
