Yeah, Robb aka Darktrain[who makes my cables] or Ted will set you up proper for a great price, I'm sure ;) A nice right angle or stubby 5-pin mini XLR>straight or right angle 1/8" mini cable would be super sweet and take the rig to the next level IMO 8)

Thanks for the tip.  I'm gonna looking into that.  Looking forward to running it this weekend at The Obsessed / Karma To Burn / and The Atomic Bitchwax show.
Will probably use my new IPAs for at least one of the bands on the bill to get a nice comparison of the two.

Sweet, cant wait to hear your results :) And hells yea, I'd love to hear your comparison between the IPA & JK Labs preamps 8) Sounds like a really cool COMP!

And DarkTrain/Ted can whip you up some cables super quick usually! Robb/DarkTrain is making me new breakout cables for my 70d's right now! I'll snap some pics once I get them! Now I'll have breakout cables for ALL [4] 70d inputs[Straight Female XLRs>Right Angle Stubby Male XLR's], so I can run PFA's/SBD patches into ALL [4] of my 70d's[channels 1/2 and 3/4] XLR INS, without the super long regular straight XLRs sticking out of my 70d's, but still have right angle stubby XLRs going into my 70d's :) And he's making me some new Straight BNC>Right Angle Stubby Male XLRs[for channels 3/4 on my 70d's] for my VMS02IB>Tascam 70D setup, so no more unreliable BNC>RCA adapters. I'll snap some pics and post them once they arrive! IMO, having the right cables for your specific setup really makes a rig and takes it to the next level!

Anyway, cant wait to hear your comp soon 8)

Here are a couple of songs from last night

The Karma To Burn song is the JKLabs > MBHO KA500, The Obsessed songs is Naiant IPAs > MBHO KA500

Microphones remained in the same position for both.  No post processing on either.

You should get right angle BNC connects

I know I thought about the Rt Angle BNCs, but after talking with Tonedeaf in the past, and him claiming the Rt Angle BNCs position couldn't be moved once on the VMS, I figured I better go with straight BNCs! I finally got my new DarkTrain Straight BNC>Rt Angle Stubby XLR's[For channels 3/4 on the 70d] in the mail yesterday, and already hooked everything up, so I should take some new pics 8) I also got a pair of Straight RCA>Rt Angle Stubby XLRs modded with Straight Female XLRs[in place of the RCAs]>Rt Angle Stubby XLRs too! Those are now my breakout cables for my PFAs or SBD patches[For channels 1/2 on my 70d]!

I shot myself in the foot a little bit by getting my Left Straight BNC>Rt Angle Stubby XLR a couple of inches too short though :P :( I just had to move my 70d around in my bag and put it in a new spot, and problem solved! I do wish I would've gotten that one cable a few inches longer though! Oh well! The Straight BNCs aren't too long coming from the back of my VMS with my current bag setup and the DC Connector sticking out of the top of the VMS, but when I get a new Rt Angle Series 712 Binder connector for my VMS input, I will probably go with the Rt Angle BNCs as well to make the VMS footprint even smaller! That way, all of my connections[Binder & BNCs] on the back of my VMS will all be Rt Angles, and just a straight DC Connector coming out of the top of my VMS 8)

+T!!! DL'ing and listening now! Thanks James! 8)
