I have been recording for several years and currently primarily using CA-14 Cardioids and DPA 4060's. All the bands I have recorded up to this point only unofficially condone recording, so I've only ever recorded
. Now, I have a show coming up at the end of October that would be my first opportunity to record non-
so I'm wondering what the least-expensive method I could utilize to mount my CA-14's (they have alligator clips) and possibly also the 4060's simultaneously to a balcony. The venue is Lincoln Hall in Chicago - for those who are unfamiliar with the layout, I believe the best location would be the center of the balcony facing the stage:
Any ideas for a poor man's setup would be greatly appreciated!
