"MP3" recorders that record in lossless formats

Hey all-
I'm new to the idea of this- been taping for years- first with NAK 301->D5, then D-7, now D-10. I am interested in something to run alongside my reg rig, to make it easier to upload/burn CDs from. As you well know, I spend twice as long giving out my name/taking names as it takes me to breakdown my stuff! And I'm lazy and have 2 little kids- I've got tons of masters that I have never put on CD, and I'm not really too sure how to get them from the DAT to the computer- and frankly haven't had time to research it!
So I know about the JB3- and that you can't get 'em anymore- is there anything else that compares? I also like the idea of saying to the security guard- "Oh- that's just my MP3 player!"
thanks for any help you can offer- I really like checking this site out! Not enough tapers around me to understand the fascination.... although EVERYBODY asks me if I have or can get this or that for them!  ??? Marisa

Cool! I had looked a while ago, but I had not seen that creative labs was selling them...

don't give up on the JB3's.  I just got one brand new recently off ebay.  

I haven't figured out how to turn it on yet but I have it for when the D8 says bye bye.

You need the JB3 - just leave the DAT at home...

1 - You can use it for transfers from your DAT.

2 - You are probably on your last DAT deck...I would recommend using it's remaining hours for archiving your existing collection.

thanks all- I've been scoping out eBay for the last couple of days. I checked out the Start Here- I hadn't checked out the HD and solid state section- so thanks for pointing me there- the Zens record WAVs, huh? I have looked at so many online, and never saw that they recorded anything but wma or mp3. I guess I'll have to study up a bit more before I decide. In the meantime I have to shop for a new home DAT deck- PCM R-300 bit it. UGH!
