I just don't know how people can deal with a mid/tweeter not attached to a horn, haha (being stupid)
I hope you're kidding. Horns sound like... horns!

Celestion sl6s are bass reflex. No port on these.
SL6 is a great pair of 2-way speakers. A nice balance of pleasant enough and accurate enough.

Bass reflex is ported
Sealed enclosure is not
Baffled and / or damped lies inbetween

It's all about the back pressure on the bass transducer.

I hope that helps

Oh yeah, thanks for pointing that out. The SL6 is a sealed enclosure, no ports, front loaded 5" paper driver and a metal dome tweeter.

Usher S520 - they were less expensive than the list price when I called an authorized dealer.

Second this.

I've run a pair of B&W CDM2 speakers for many years and really like them.  they are a bit weak on bass but any speaker that small is.  I recently picked up some Martin Logan Aerus I and think that is going to be what finally offsets them in my living room.

Jake: What's this?
Elwood: What?
Jake: This car. This stupid car. Where's the Cadillac? The Caddy? Where's the Caddy?
Elwood: The what?
Jake: The Cadillac we used to have. The Blues Mobile!
Elwood: I traded it.
Jake: You traded the Blues Mobile for this?
Elwood: No. For a microphone.
Jake: A microphone? Okay I can see that.
