SBM1 mic/line input question
« on: February 12, 2008, 12:34:48 PM »
Just picked up a oademod SBM1 from the yardsale (thanks cll). Gonna keep it 16 bit for now.

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what inputs(1/4"?1/8"?rca?) to use.
I will mostly be taping loud rock shows.

Here are the mics I will be using

akg 91->3wire batt box->
mke2 or mke40 ->sp spb8->

thanks
Arnold

I have an Oade Wmod SBM-1 and the only inputs that I can use are the RCA's.  All other inputs were disabled due to the modification.  I think that is standard.

Actually my sbm1 also had the mic input upgrade along with the "24bit" mod, so it is possible for the upgrade to be done without disabling the mic inputs, blah, blah, blah ...

I stand corrected...  I knew the mic input upgrade was available, but since I don't have it, I didn't mention it.  I figured someone with first-hand knowledge would step up!  Thanks silentmark!!!   :)
