Topic: new version of dvda-author

This is to announce the release of a major update of the open-source DVD-Audio disc software dvda-author.
New features include:
 - automatic or user-defined top menu
 - background video with 16b/48kHz soundtrack for top menu
 - still pictures (one per track)
 - anti-gap options
These add-ons now bring this tool quite close to commercial competition.
There are rough ends however and this version is still quite fresh, so I'll be very grateful to those who can try and test, and post feedback on the DVD audio tools mailing list (http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net)
Currently only the command-line application is available, so some computer fluency  is necessary (command-line usage is unfortunately not so simple). The graphical user interface will be enhanced to accommodate these features before end of year I hope.
Source code and linux rpms/debs have been uploaded to the sourceforge release system; a windows build is in preparation.

I hope this new version will be useful to the community.

PS: currently you will need a PAL-compliant player. NTSC will be supported in the next release (end of Oct.) along with enhanced slideshows (allowing several still pics with transition effects for each audio track).
