Changed my mind about the bb mod and went with a different option - converter cable (1/8" minijack to dual right angle XLR's, 1 ft cable). Same price as the original plan, since the right angle plugs are more expensive but I'm using less labor.

The right angle XLR's save about 2 inches of space at the input to the AD-20, making it easier to fit into the belly pack I use to hold my stealth gear. So I'm getting my bb back unmodified, with the external cable. The cable is being made up today, so I should see it in my hands tomorrow or Thursday.

First use of the new rig will be to record a solo Chris Thiele show next week.

thats what i was talking about, guess i didn't explain it well
my cable isn't 1 ft but they prob costum them anyway--works great imo
