Anyone available to digi mod my UA -5?
Thanks

I think some where around here there is a how to if your feeling adventurous. Busman also still mods them

Thanks jbell.
I have it opened up, have been looking at the forums, still a little leary to do it myself. Can't be that hard, but thought someone who knows how would be better than me.
Anyone? Busman ?

If you just want the digimod I think it is just soldering a jumper!! I could be wrong about that

best DIY tutorial I ever found for a straight digimod - http://he.fi/photo/ua5-dissection/modified/
< TS's archive thread about the DIY digimod - http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=5209.0 - note that many of the links are now dead but the original instructions are in the link above, no reason to go to the wayback machine >

Fyi, Chris Johnson (at Busman Audio) still performs his mod. In fact, I need to send him my stock UA-5 to have it modded. :P

Here are photos how to mod ua5 with switch. If you dont need switch just connect points of middle and right (R35) green wire - see pic 2, then cut path - see pic 7. You will need non shaking hands. The best is to ask somebody who is working with micro solder.
