So I got a Monster digital coaxial cable for my MT a while ago and the damn thing doesn't fit. Am i doing something wrong or is it a factory defect?

it just might not fit.
the mt digi in needs a specific type of connector. no your typical 75ohm rca connector.
i just use regular neutrik rca's with 75 ohm cable.
