Hi, a quick question for the board, I have a source stereo file that is 24 bit/96 kHz. I have successfully changed the Sampling Rate from 96 kHz to 44.1 kHz using the Process > Resample tool in Sound Forge with the Interpolation accuracy set to 4 and an Anti-alias filter applied. I am now trying to reduce the Bit Depth from 24 bit to 16 bit using the Process > Bit-Depth Converter utility. Within that utility I select the desired bit depth (16 bits), but there are two drop-down menus that I'm unsure of: Dither and Noise Shaping.
In the Dither drop-down, I have the following options: None, Half Rectangular, Rectangular, Triangular, High-pass Triangular, and Gaussian.
In the Noise Shaping drop-down, I have the following options: Off, High-pass contour, and Equal loudness contour.
Any ideas what those should set to? Any recommendations?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chris.
