Run line-in in high SPL situations, but you'll likely need to run mic-in for soft stuff to get enough gain.
Busman Audio BSC1-K1/K2/K3/K4 > HiHo Silver XLR's > Deck TBD

CA-14 (c,o)/MM-HLSC-1 (4.7k mod)/AT853(4.7k mod)(c,o,h,sc)/CAFS (o)/CA-1 (o) > CA-9100 (V. 4.1)/CA-9200/CA-UBB > Sony PCM-D50/Sony PCM-M10

The M10's mic input can handle a pretty hot signal (guysonic measured it at +2 dBu).  With those mics, you'll have no problem going mic-in...

^^^ No problem!  I haven't seen a sensitivity spec for the CA-14s, but if you assume it is similar to other small cards, you'll be able to handle very high SPL (at 8 mV/Pa, for example, you'd be at 136 dBSPL before your mics were outputting 2 dBu)...
