Large windscreens for Schoeps?
« on: January 06, 2019, 10:56:50 PM »
The windscreens I use in open outdoor situations barely made it through their 15th season, and are now mostly a pile of dust with plastic frames in the middle.

Anyone have a recommendation that'll work with actives in a shapeways ortf clip as well as assembled to a mstc64, and not be as pricey as the Schoeps?

TIA

Do the fit on MK41V actives as well or are they too long?

Thanks but I'm still confused. Is it exactly 3 cm? Then it is too small. If it's like 3,5 cm up to 4 cm, it will fit nicely. I don't give much for the measurments in the specs. I need someone who has these to confirm it's correct. Shipping to Sweden is the the same as the cost for the MOVOs so I don't want to spend that $ if it doesn't fit.

The capsules including Nbob connections are 5 cm. Perhaps 6 cm are ok then? I guess the space between the capsules and the wind screens (inside) doesn't really affect the sound as they are side addressed?

I think Noah meant to say “end addressed” for 3cm and vertical (aka side addressed) for 6cm.

I use 3cm for end addressed AKGs.

+1 on Noah's recommendation on the Movos.  They are outstanding windscreens.
