48v phantom on a budget
« on: November 06, 2004, 05:02:37 PM »
I'm getting a pair of Superlux SMK-H8K's and need portable phantom power.  A UA-5 looks good, but what are the less expensive options for just battery boxes.  I saw an Art Tube MP pre-amp but couldn't tell how many inputs and if it runs on DC.  I was hoping to be under $50 but it seems $100 may be more realistic.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Todd
