MP-2 DIY Rechargeable Batt Mod
« on: March 17, 2005, 07:29:29 PM »
I found out that the reason that the MP-2 doesn't like rechargeable batts is that there is a plastic piece (see pic) on the top of most rechargeable batts that is not on reg batts.  The spring in the bottom of the MP-2 makes contact with the plastic, instead of the batt.  SD replaces the spring with a narrower one.  If you take an exacto or the like and carefully slice off the plastic ring on the top of the batt, the rechargeables now will work.  At least in my case it did, YMMV and try it at your own risk ;)...
