Buying some new mics ..... studio projects c4's ??

looking at spending like 700 tops....

what else is could I afford ....looking at studio projects c4's going to be doing most of my taping at festivals and outdoor stuff and I have alot of great recordings made with them.....
is there any other mics someone might suggest besides the c4's

Depends. For $300 the C4's are hard to beat. If you go up to your $700 limit, the Peluso CEMC6 sound like a good choice.

What pre/adc will be paired with the mics? Is your limit for mics only or the entire rig? There's a bunch of topics on here, so running a search is a good idea.

700 for just mics or for an entire rig?

You can score used C4's for much less than $300 these days, if you look in the right places.  That leaves $400 to *begin* buying the rest of your rig.

perfect ....thanks for the link......just what I was looking for......for sure having lots of questions..... not understanding the stuff inbetween the mics and the the jb3 and its importance...not sure what to spend the money on

but yeah 700 left to spend
