Hard Drive recording w/ Nak 300s
« on: June 15, 2007, 12:05:42 PM »
My buddy is thinking about moving to a hard drive/flash card unit and wants to know what might work well with his Nak 300s. Can you run them straight into units like JB3 or Marantz 660s etc...?

He basically wants something that will record wav file  that he can plug his Naks with standard 1/4 in. jacks into.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I have run Naks directly into my R-09, but the levels are low.  I need to max it out.  They run great with a UA-5 > JB3, or with an MX100 mixer > R09.

JB3 alone... I kind of doubt it, figure on mics > preamp > recorder.  With a PMD660, I expect that would work fine.
