If some one was decent at cutting lucite, seems to me you could make a power switch guard as either a u shape or a square, and make it high enough that you would have to press in to turn it off.  A bit o' clear epoxy to permanently fasten it and voila!  no more accidental presses...

I have not turned my phantom off yet but here is an easy idea to remedy the prob.  Find some padded foam feet like on the bottom of the UA-5  The kind that have stick um on the backing,  and cut either a little circle out of the center or a "U" notch out and stick the piece of foam around the phantom power button.  I have also noticed that I have to count to 5 after I turn the unit's power on before I can fire up the phantom power.
