That looks like the winner, I listened to some back to backs from gearslutz against 4060s and was impressed, particularly aththis price point, wow.

Thank you all!

Anyone know of a u.s. Om1 retailer?

Buy the OM1 direct from the manufacturer HERE - ordering info is here.

Best value omni on the market at the price, I think.

At the current conversion rate, that's about $121.66 USD per OM1.  It's a small body mic with a black finish.  Just about what any taper would want.

From what I understand, there's usually a wait list when ordering directly from Roger.  If you order from JP at NoHypeAudio (see my earlier post), you know that he either has them in stock now or he doesn't, and he can reliably tell you when his stock will be refilled.  Manufacturer direct appears to be slightly less expensive, though.  At the moment, a pair of OM1 with shipping is 2148 SEK = $260.59.  From NoHype, 250 EUR = $285.24.  Personally, I plan to purchase my OM1s from NoHype just because of my great experience with him before.

Also, US buyers would not have to pay import duty, as the cost is well below the threshold.

Also had a great experience buying from JP...patient with my questions despite me not exactly dropping a fortune, and I like buying from good retailers, it's well worth a few bucks.

x2

I wish I still had my Avensons, made some great outdoor recordings with them. Ran them with some small foam windscreens and never had issues with wind.

x3....  we might have to fix this and bring a pair back into the fold..   OOK
