Stack taping question
« on: May 27, 2005, 07:43:38 PM »
sorry for the stupid question  ???

if I'm lined up with the stacks and want to run DIN, how exactly should I point my mics?

for lack of a drawing:  should the center of the "V" be in the middle of the stack or should I angle the mic stand where one mic is pointed at the stack and the other is pointed at the stage?

sorry if that doesn't make any sense  :D

I've always gone with the latter, with great results. Mind you, the bulk of my "stack" taping takes place in smaller clubs and bars (i.e., not technically "stacks")....

Which could put you in a dead spot, depending on the venue...  ;)
Maybe a couple of small scratches, but thats because these mics are chick magnets.
Girls always up on Andy tryin to grab these mics, the scratches are from their wedding rings.
