I think Schoeps was making a clamp that was basically the ROWI clamp with the Schoeps name on it.   I remember seeing it at Posthorn, but when I just looked I couldn't locate it.

Exact same experience here, because I recall within about the last month or so someone posting a link to posthorn, but I also remember seeing that the price was over $100!!!  Seriously! +T though.

Regardless, Nick posted a link to one for $37 which is exactly the right clamp and the right price!  Thanks a TON Nick.  +T of course.

Steve, check ebay often I got mine there thats the same one in that link above, for $25/shipped with a leather case/sheath for mine on ebay about 4-5 years ago. I JUST saw one on there within the last couple weeks too, but its one like Audball(Horus) has with the longer arm. These are a MUST HAVE along with the Windtech one. Both have their own uses, thats for sure. I leave my Rowi permanently attached to my Shure vert bar(I superglued a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter on the end of my rowi too. Its help up GREATLY the last 5 years And I use my windtech one with my MBHO/Shure a53m/Actives setup

I donts ee any there now. Its up to you, 37.00 for a bran d new one is not bad IMO. Make sure it comes with a leather sheath tho

I just bought one of the Rowi 76 knock-off's from Bradley for $37.  The 76's have been discontinued by Rowi, but the sales guy said they have these made and they are all metal and identical to the 76's, but have a 5/8" thread on them instead of the 1/4" that came with the Rowi's.  He mentioned that the threaded end of the ball head on these do not break like the Rowi's do.

After posting this ISO, I found a ROWI 76 and have used it, but frankly I think I like my Ultra Clamp with the accessory pod a little better...now that I've used both.  It has better reach to put my mics in DIN.  The ROWI 76 has a shorter reach so when I clamp onto a stand, it puts the mic cables exactly at the pole on the stand, so I have a jumbled up mess and can't get the mics in true DIN because I have to push the mics farther out the front of the mounts than DIN spacing in order to fit the cables into the back of the mics in order for the cables not to interfere with the stand pole. 

However, the Ultra Clamp is a little bulkier and takes up more bag space. 

Bottom line though is that it's nice to have them both and have options.  The Rowi takes up hardly any space at all in my gear bag. 

If you are looking for a ROWI, I'd seek out the 103 rather than the 76 cause the 103 has an extension on it.

The one in this link is the one I have. It doesnt have an extension arm, but it does have the wood screw that has SAVED MY ASS! I would highly recommend the one with the screw adapter to clamp to when you can clamp onto wood DFC like Im allowed to do in a few venues. $37 for a new one isnt bad at all. I think I paid $25/shipped/used off of ebay about 4-5 years ago, but mine also came with the leather sheath for it too, which I never sue since mine stays attached to my vert bar for easy and quick setup for my 483's

There is a pass-thru, through the body of the clamp that allows for the extensions.

I'm trying to imagine the use of the pass-thru.  The hole that runs through the clamp is 5/8" I believe.  Do you run the 3/8" rod through the opening and cinch it down? 

Ah, I think I've got it.  You turn the stud so that the 3/8" side is inserted into the pass-thru from the bottom of the clamp, and attach a ferrule that sits in the pass-thru, down into the body of the clamp.

Is that it?

Hadn't seen those pics...cool!  If/when I go DPA, looks like a great option for running near-coincident configs other than the stock bar's ORTF.

looks like they don't make them anymore.  try markertek or tecnec for a similar item.  type in rowi in their search.  rowi's did break and would not lock down.

does anyone know where to get the 1/4" to 5/8" thread adapter thingie? i have one but it it beat to all hell and the threads are fairly striped on both ends. can one be had (or made) from a local hardware store?

hardware stores won't carry a 5/8-27 threaded adapter.  I never could find a 1/4 > 5/8 adapter for a reasonable price.  I do have a few setup where i use a 1/4 > 3/8 adapter and then a 3/8 > 5/8 adapter

I forget where I got my 1/4>5/8" adapter at, but I permanently epoxied the adapter onto my rowi so I never had to worry about it. Does anyone need one? I'll check and make sure, but I think I still have one somewhere.....I think I got mine from markertek but I am not sure!

I got my adapters from B&H.  Instead of using epoxy to fix it in your clamp just try a little bit of teflon tape.  It will stay put yet still be removable if you need to do so. 

Edit to add that I still have not received my clamp from Bradley yet.  (Been about a week and a half)  They did say that they were all the way over in Maryland, but I didn't think they were going to walk it across the country either.
