CA-14 Mic Clips
« on: March 01, 2012, 08:40:34 PM »
Does anyone know if http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/127169-REG/Shure_RK183T1_RK183T1_Set_of.html fit the CA-14's well?
I understand they work well with the 11's. I've heard the loop may have to be bent to fit the 14's.
I appreciate any input from the kind folks here.

If you have clipless CA-14s, get those custom NOLABars!  Theyre like $50.00/each, but are indestructable and will last a lifetime. And no more guessing on angles/spacing/etc ;)

Forgive my ignorance, I have heard of the NOLAbars , but I can't say I know anything about it. The 14's are going to be my LoPro mics. I need a clip of some sort. Can you tell me something about this NOLAbar and/or kindly post a picture?

Its a stereo mounting bar. If youre going to be stealt*ing with them, then just go the clip route!

I just ordered a set of CA 14s (both OMNI and Cards). Any suggestions about use for stealthing - in hat or on glasses? I currently use CSBs modified to fit in my ears.

Thanks

imo you get better results with a proper hat than glasses, especially with omni's. you need something dense between the mics like a head  ;D

Howdy there-

I use the Shure clips on my CA14s, but they fit very snug, so I did do a bit of bending for the best fit.

Can you snap a picture of the mics with the clips?
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
