Topic: Replacing Casing on 7-Pin Dongle

The plastic male top casing on my 7-pin dongle on my SBM-1 (the part that says "Sony" on it) has broken.  One of the "fingers" that lock into the bottom portion of the casing has broke off.  Can I order just the casing and replace it myself or is this something I should send to someone to have repaired.  If I can do it myself, can someone tell me where I can order this part?

That's happened to me before.  I just secured it in place with - you guessed it - gaffer's tape.  Didn't seem worth fixing properly, to me.

That's (almost) what I did.  Right now I've got electrical tape on it -- seems just fine. 
Hmm . . .  this "gaffers" tape -- beginning to sound like the "taper's best friend."

Great stuff.  Stickier than duct or electrical tape, supports more removals / reapplications with the same strip, and doesn't leave any nasty residue.  It's substantially more expensive than duct or electrical, but IMO it's worth it.

I've seen Skal- "gaff" a mic stand to a wall and then run three different mic setups on the single stand. Good stuff indeed!

I put gaffers tape on mine and then put a little zip-tie around that.
